What are your earliest memories of you and Karen as kids?
Mum and Dad painted our basement and set up a record-listening room. I remember when I was three and a half, I was listening to Spike Jones and I had this old Bing Crosby jukebox. It played old 78s. I remember rocking back and forth in the chair and listening to music. So, Dad hooked up a swing in the basement, because I spent so much time down there. Of course, Karen wanted one too, although she’d never go down there to listen to records by herself: she’d only go, if I went. It was then I realised she had an ear for music. |
